4. Sharing reports

Share your Whatagraph report as a live link or PDF. Learn how to set password protection, disable date changing, add IQ Chat, and download a PDF export.

Once your report is ready, you can share it with clients or stakeholders who don't have a Whatagraph account. They can view it as a live link in a browser or as a downloaded PDF.

Sharing a live link

You can generate a shared link from two places: directly inside the report, or from the Reports list on the home screen.

From inside the report:

Step 1. Open the report and click the "Share" button in the top-right corner.

Step 2. Click "Copy quick link" to generate and copy the link.

From the Reports list:

Step 1. Go to the Reports section on the home screen.

Step 2. Click the three dots next to the report and select "Share Report".

Step 3. Click "Copy quick link".

Note: The shared link stays the same every time you generate it. You can always retrieve it by returning to the same Share panel.

Share options

Before copying the link, you can configure the following options in the Share panel:

  • Disable date changing β€” prevents viewers from adjusting the report's date range

  • Password protection β€” requires a password to open the link

  • IQ Chat β€” adds a client-facing AI chatbot to the shared view, styled to match the report's branding (requires IQ+)

To revoke access, click "Unshare report" in the same panel.

Downloading a PDF

Important: Before downloading, make sure pop-ups are enabled in your browser. The PDF opens as a pop-up; if your browser is blocking them, the download won't start.

Step 1. Open the report and click the "Download PDF" button in the top-right corner.

Step 2. Choose how to export the pages: either as a single merged file or with each report tab as a separate page. Then click "Download file".
