1. Creating a report

Three ways to get started, blank canvas, ready-made template, or AI-generated in seconds.

The first step in your reporting journey with Whatagraph is learning how to create a report. Below you will find the instructions on how to create it from blank, from a template and our newest option using Whatagraph IQ feature, which helps to create an instant report based on your prompt or suggestions.

Creating a report from blank

Step 1. Click the arrow down button in the top right corner of your dashboard.

Step 2. Select "New blank report".

From here, add your data sources and start building widgets.

Creating a report from a template

Step 1. Click the dropdown arrow in the top right corner of your dashboard.

Step 2. Select "New report from template".

Step 3. Browse the template gallery. Use the filters to narrow by channel (e.g. Google Ads, Meta) or report type, or use the search bar to find something specific.

Step 4. Once you find your template, click "Apply template" to create your report

Note: Templates open with sample data. To see your real numbers, go to the Sources drawer and connect your data source.

Creating a report using AI

Step 1. Click "Create Report with IQ" in the top right corner of your dashboard.

Step 2. Choose a data source from the list or sample data.

Step 3. Select one of the suggested pre-made prompts, or type your own, for example, "Show Google Ads performance for the last 30 days, broken down by campaign."

Step 4. Click Generate Report. Whatagraph IQ builds the report, including widgets, metrics, and filters.

Tip: The more specific your prompt, the better the result. Mention the channel, the metrics you care about, and the time period.
