Goal widgets show how close a metric is to a target you've set - useful for monitoring KPIs like monthly conversions, revenue, lead volume, or any number you're trying to hit. The widget compares the current value to your goal and uses colour to show reached and unreached goals at a glance.
How to add a goal widget
Step 1. Open your report and rom the right-side panel, select "Widgets" and drag the Goal widget onto the report grid.
Step 2. Click the widget to open its settings on the right.
Step 3. In the Data drawer, pick the metric you want to track (e.g., Conversions, Sessions, Revenue). You can add multiple metrics - each one becomes its own goal line in the widget.
Step 4. Click on a metric in the setup menu, enter the target value you want to hit, and confirm.
Tip: Use the three-dot menu next to a goal to edit it, swap its source, or add another goal without removing the widget.
How goal colors work
Each goal line takes a colour from your report's palette. Reached goals use the first shades (the "positive" colours); unreached goals use later shades.
For example, in a widget with four goals where the first two are reached and the last two aren't, the reached goals appear in your palette's first two shades, and the unreached goals appear in shades three and four.
To change the palette, click the widget, open the Settings drawer, and pick new colours.
Instead of the widget theme you can change the report's theme as well, which will affect all of the widgets inside the report.
