Organize: Simplify and Transform Your Data

Learn how to use Whatagraph’s Organize feature to clean, unify, and format data for clearer, more reader-friendly reports.

Updated this week

What is Organize?

Organize is a Whatagraph feature that helps you transform your data so reports are easier to read, understand, and share with teammates or clients.

Think of Organize as your data’s “tidying tool.” Instead of overwhelming readers with messy names, inconsistent labels, or hard-to-follow metrics, Organize helps you:

  • Unify data from different channels.

  • Format metrics and dimensions so they’re easier to understand.

  • Group information in ways that make sense for your audience.

  • Clean up confusing values (like [not set] or [unknown]).

  • Blend multiple sources into one clear view.

Important: Your ability to use Organize and create data blends will depend on your current subscription plan - you can read more about our Source Credit plans in this article.

What Can Organize Help You Do?

Here are some examples of how Organize makes your reports cleaner and easier to digest:

  • Bring order to cross-channel data.

  • Make reports more visually clear and structured.

  • Group campaign results or countries into logical categories.

  • Display data from different sources in the same table.

  • Globally update custom metric formulas.

Important: Organize does not change your source data — it only adjusts how information is displayed in your reports.

Common Problems Solved with Organize

Organize is designed to fix common issues that make reports confusing. For example:

  • Inconsistent names:

    • Different tools use different names for the same dimension (e.g., “Country” vs. “Location”).

  • Unclear abbreviations:

    • Campaign names might include internal codes or acronyms that aren’t client-friendly.

  • Mismatched country names:

    • Integrations may not use the same format for location names.

  • Grouping challenges:

    • Hard to group campaigns by keyword, or countries into tiers/target groups.

  • Unreadable values:

    • API outputs like [not set] or [unknown] confuse end readers.

  • Metric differences:

    • Conversions or other KPIs are named differently across integrations.

  • Cross-channel display issues:

    • Difficulty combining results from multiple platforms in one table.

  • Formula management:

    • Need to globally update custom metrics or calculated fields.

Why Use Organize?

  • Save time by cleaning up data once — instead of fixing it in every report.

  • Create a unified reporting experience across multiple sources.

  • Make reports clearer for clients who don’t know the “technical” terms.

  • Focus on insights, not on fixing messy labels.
