How to show keyword performance in a Google Ads report

Add a keyword breakdown table to any Google Ads report by selecting the right report type and dimension.

Updated today

In Google Ads, keywords are the search terms that trigger your ads. Tracking how each one performs helps you see what's working and where your budget is going. Here's how to pull that data into a Whatagraph table.

Step 1. Add a table widget to the report, or select an existing widget you want to use for keyword data.

Step 2. Change the report type to "Keyword view".

Step 3. Then select the "Keyword" dimension in the widget.

Once both are set, the widget will populate with keyword-level data, showing each keyword alongside the metrics you've added (clicks, impressions, CTR, cost, conversions, and so on).

Note: The Keyword dimension only appears after you switch the report type to "Keyword view." If you're not seeing it in the dimension list, check that the report type has been updated first.
