You stay in control of your data in Whatagraph. Depending on what you want to remove, you have a few options: disconnect a single source or delete a whole integration account, close your whole Whatagraph account, or request full erasure of your personal data. Each option is below, along with what happens to the data we pulled from connected platforms such as Facebook (Meta), Google, and LinkedIn.
Remove connected data sources
There are two ways to remove source data, depending on whether you want to disconnect one source or an entire integration account.
Method 1 - Remove a single source
Use this to remove one connected source - for example, one Google Analytics or Facebook Ads account.
Step 1. Click Data sources in the left-hand navigation.
Step 2. Find the source you want to remove in the list.
Step 3. Click on the small bpx next to it and select "Remove".
Step 4. Confirm in the pop-up that appears.
Method 2 - Delete a whole integration account
Deleting an integration account removes every source connected through it in one step - useful when you want to disconnect an entire login rather than a single source.
Step 1. Click Data sources in the left-hand navigation.
Step 2. Select "Connect new source", and find the integration that you are looking for.
Step 3. Click on the three dots next to the account, then select "Delete account".
Step 4. Confirm in the pop-up that appears.
In both cases, the affected widgets and reports stop receiving new data straight away and switch to sample data. Deleting an integration account also revokes Whatagraph's access for that connection, so you'll need to reconnect through the provider's login to add it again later.
Note: Your stored historical data is scheduled for deletion once a connection is fully removed - when you delete an integration account, or remove the last source using it - and even then, only after a short grace period of a few days, so accidentally removing something and re-adding it soon after won't cost you your history.
Delete your Whatagraph account
To close your account entirely, contact us at customersupport@whatagraph.com or through the live chat window on your Whatagraph home screen, and we will take care of it. See also How do I delete my account?
Request full deletion of your personal data
You can ask us to delete all of the personal data we hold about you at any time. Email gdpr@whatagraph.com with your request. We acknowledge every request within 72 hours and handle it promptly and as required by law.
A full erasure request covers:
Your account and profile information.
The configuration of your connected data sources and reports.
Historical data stored in our data warehouse for the accounts you connected.
Cached report data.
What about data from connected platforms (Meta, Google and others)?
When you connect a platform such as Facebook (Meta), Google, or LinkedIn, Whatagraph reads reporting data from that platform on your behalf. You can remove that data at any time in one of three ways:
Disconnect it in Whatagraph (see above). Remove a single source, or delete the whole integration account to remove every source connected through it. This stops access and schedules the deletion of the data we stored for that connection.
Revoke Whatagraph's access from the platform's own settings - for Facebook and Instagram, in Meta's Settings & privacy → Business integrations. This immediately stops Whatagraph from reading any further data. To also remove the data we already stored, disconnect the source in Whatagraph as well, or send an erasure request.
Request full erasure at gdpr@whatagraph.com to remove everything at once.
How long we keep your data
We retain personal data only for as long as needed to provide the service, and no longer than two years, except where we must keep certain records to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
