Whatagraph can be disconnected from HubSpot in two ways: by removing the source inside Whatagraph, or by uninstalling the Whatagraph app directly from your HubSpot account. Both routes are covered below, along with what happens to your report data afterwards.
How to disconnect HubSpot from Whatagraph
Disconnecting removes a HubSpot source from Whatagraph. Any widgets and reports using that source will stop receiving fresh data.
Step 1. Click Data sources in the left-hand navigation.
Step 2. Find your HubSpot account in the source list.
Step 3. Click the three dots '⋯' menu next to the account and select "Remove".
Step 4. Confirm in the modal that appears.
Note: Super Admins of your HubSpot account will receive an email confirming the removal, with a re-install link if you want to reconnect later.
How to uninstall the Whatagraph app from HubSpot
Some users prefer to remove the connection from HubSpot's side. To do this, follow HubSpot's instructions for managing connected apps.
Note: Uninstalling Whatagraph from HubSpot also disconnects the source inside Whatagraph. Once the access token expires, affected widgets will show an error state.
What happens to your data
When you disconnect or uninstall HubSpot:
Widgets and reports connected to the HubSpot source stop receiving new data immediately.
The source enters a soft-deleted state for [N] days. During this window, widgets continue to show the last cached data.
Historical HubSpot data stored in BigQuery is retained in line with Whatagraph's Data Retention Policy.
To permanently delete historical data, contact Whatagraph support.
If you reconnect HubSpot later, data fetching resumes from that point. It does not backfill the gap while the source was disconnected.
Tip: If you're planning to reconnect soon, there's no need to take any action on your existing reports, they'll resume showing live data automatically once the source is reconnected.
