Facebook Ads Attribution Window Update

Updated this week

Meta is making changes to the attribution windows available in the Facebook Ads API. As a result, we are updating how attribution windows work in Whatagraph to ensure continued compatibility and accurate reporting.

What’s changing?

Meta is discontinuing the following attribution windows:

  • 7-day view-through

  • 28-day view-through

These attribution windows will stop returning data from Meta starting January 12, 2026. Once Meta removes support, metrics using these windows will no longer receive data.

What will happen in Whatagraph?

We will automatically update any widgets or filters that currently use the deprecated attribution windows.

  • Widgets using 7-day or 28-day view-through attribution will be switched to 1-day view-through attribution

  • Attribution window selection will be available in a single, consistent location within filters

  • Incremental attribution will be introduced as a new option

You do not need to update your dashboards or reports manually.

Will there be any changes in the Data?

Yes, you may notice a decrease in some metrics after this update, especially if your reports previously relied on 7-day or 28-day view-through attribution.

This decrease is expected and reflects how Meta will report data going forward. The same change will be visible in Meta Ads Manager, not only in Whatagraph.

No historical data is being removed. The change affects how future attribution is calculated and returned by Meta.

This update is required due to changes in Meta’s API. Once Meta stops returning data for certain attribution windows, reporting tools can no longer access those metrics.

This update ensures your Facebook Ads data in Whatagraph continues to reflect Meta’s supported attribution model.
