Q: Which metrics are unique?
Unique metrics have the word "unique" in their titles. "Reach" is also a unique metric, which is considered unique impressions.
Q: How does this affect my reports?
Unique metrics can only display value if the selected date range in the report or widget is at most 93 days, reflecting a restriction imposed by Meta's API on Reach data. If your selected date range is wider than 93 days, you will see "-" in the widget.
Examples of Impact
If you set a reporting date range of year-to-date (YTD) and the total period exceeds 93 days, Reach metrics will not display.
For shorter periods within 93 days, such as April or any specific 3-month window, Reach metrics will populate as expected.
Q: What if I want to pick a different date range?
If you want to pick a different date range that is wider than 92 days, we recommend using any of the chart or table widgets with the "Date" dimension:
Best Practices for Using Unique Metrics
Keep Date Ranges Short: When setting up a report in Whatagraph, make sure the selected date range does not exceed 93 days.
Segment Reports: For reporting periods longer than 93 days, divide the date range into smaller segments and generate individual reports for each segment.
Communicate Limitations: Inform stakeholders that Reach reports are limited by Meta’s API, ensuring clear expectations around reporting capabilities.
