Integrating Adobe Analytics with Whatagraph allows you to automatically pull key performance data from your Adobe account into your Whatagraph reports. This guide will walk you through the required steps to set up the connection.
Before starting, you need to ensure you have System Administrator or Developer rights for your organization.
Only users with System Administrator rights can complete the Adobe Admin Console and Adobe Developer Console setup.
Step 1: Adobe Admin Console Setup
Sign in to the Adobe Admin Console. Verify your Adobe Organization – ensure the correct account is selected in the top right corner. Then follow the steps below:
Go to the Products tab.
Select Adobe Analytics – Your Account Name in the left menu.
Click New Profile to create a new product profile.
Name it something descriptive, e.g., Whatagraph Analytics API Access.
Configure the Product Profile:
Open the profile you created.
Navigate to Permissions and click Edit next to the relevant sections:
Report Suites: Include the suites containing your campaign data (ideally all).
Metrics: Enable all relevant metrics (e.g., impressions, clicks).
Dimensions: Include campaign-related dimensions (e.g., “Campaign”).
Analytics Tools:
Web Service Access (required for API access – very important).
Analysis Workspace Access (base requirement).
Click Save to confirm the configuration.
Step 2: Adobe Developer Console Setup
Sign in to the Adobe Developer Console.
Verify your Adobe Organization – ensure the correct account is selected.
Click Create new project.
Add API to your project:
Select Adobe Analytics.
Configure OAuth credentials:
Choose OAuth Server-to-Server authentication.
Add the necessary Analytics scopes to allow access.
Complete the configuration to receive your:
CLIENT ID (API Key)
CLIENT SECRET
Step 3: Connect Adobe Analytics to Whatagraph
Once you have your CLIENT ID and CLIENT SECRET from the Adobe Developer Console, go to your Whatagraph account and:
Navigate to the Data Sources section. Click on '+Connect new source'
Select Adobe Analytics.
Enter your Client ID and Client Secret.
Add the Account to Whatagraph.
The source should now be connected to Whatagraph.
Your Adobe Analytics data will now automatically sync with Whatagraph, enabling you to build custom, automated reports.
