Can I copy a tab from one report to another?
Yes. You can't drag a tab straight from one report into another. Instead, save the tab as a Team template, then add it as a new tab to the destination report. Use this method to copy a tab, duplicate a tab into another report, move a tab, reuse part of an existing report, or merge several reports into one.
The imported tab starts on sample data. You then reconnect its widgets to your real sources (see "Reconnect your data" below).
Step 1: Save the tab as a Team template
Open the report that contains the tab you want to copy.
Open that tab.
Click the three dots next to the tab title.
Select Save as Team template.
Note: The template is named after the tab and appears in the Team templates section of the Templates gallery. The original tab stays in the original report.
Step 2: Add the template as a tab in another report
Open the report you want to copy the tab into.
Click Add in the tab bar.
Select From template.
Choose your Team template from the list.
Click the blue button called Add a template to confirm.
Note: The tab appears in the destination report as a separate tab.
Reconnect your data
Templates don't carry live data connections, so the imported tab shows sample data at first. To connect each widget to your real data, check this guide.
How do I move a tab (not just copy it)?
Copy it with Step 1 and Step 2, reconnect the data, then delete the original tab from the source report. There is no single "move" button between reports.
How do I merge two reports into one?
Repeat Step 1 for each tab you want to bring over, then add each template to the destination report with Step 2. If you want most of an existing report, it can be quicker to duplicate the whole report from the Reports list and delete the tabs you don't need.
Why is my template grayed out?
A template can only be added to a report with the same orientation (landscape or portrait). If the orientation doesn't match, the template appears grayed out. Hover over it, and Whatagraph tells you to change your report's orientation first. Change the destination report's orientation, then add the template again.
