Connecting a source

Step 1: Go to "Data Sources", click on (SEMrush, in this case), and then click on "+ Add new".

Step 2: Give your source a name (one that will make it easier for you to identify the source and connect it to your reports later).

Step 3: Click "Add an account" and you are connected 🎉

Real-time report type

Backlinks real-time reports give you the ability to study your and your competitors’ backlink profiles and make comparisons between multiple domains side by side.

Choose a Real-time report type either Backlinks or Referring Domains.

In the filters, you will be able to choose such as Target Type, or Target Domain.

In Target type, you can choose between

Root Domain, e.g. whatagraph.com

Domain e.g. live.whatagraph.com

URL e.g. whatagraph.com/features

Notes: The data you will be able to pull out for your own SEMrush project depends on the type of plan you have with SEMrush; while you can only pull out the public data of your competitor's domain.

Tracking reports (not real-time reports)

For monitoring your page's performance and tracking your keyword positions.

Select the report type based on your needs, keeping in mind that each type has different metrics related to it.

You can also set up specific filters with the Tracking report types.
