How to create a source filter and a source variant

Filter all data from one source across your whole report, or duplicate a source to show the same data filtered in different ways.

A source filter narrows down the data from one of your sources across your entire report - for example, showing only one country, one campaign type, or one product line - without having to set the same filter on every widget.

A source variant is a duplicate of that source. It lets you show the same source filtered in different ways within the same report - for example, one variant for branded campaigns and one for non-branded.

Note: Source filters are not available for every integration. Check the list of supported integrations before you start.

How to create a source filter

Step 1. Open the Sources drawer on the right side of your report, then find the source you want to filter, click the three dots next to it, and select "Add a filter".

Step 2. In the filter window, choose your dimension, operator, and values, then apply.

Every widget connected to that source will now reflect the filter.

How to create a source variant

Step 1. Open the Sources drawer, find the source you want to duplicate, then click the three dots next to the source and select "Duplicate source".

Step 2. A new copy of the source appears in the drawer. Click the three dots next to the new copy, select "Add a filter", and set a different filter than the original.

Tip: Rename each variant so you can tell them apart when assigning sources to widgets - for example, "Google Ads – Branded" and "Google Ads – Non-branded".
