Have you switched your Google Analytics source to Google Analytics 4 and had a bit of a struggle to create a "source medium" or a "channel grouping" table widget, because the dimensions are named differently between the channels? Fear not, here are easy steps on how to create these specific widgets.

Source Medium (Session Source Medium or First User Session Source Medium)

Step 1. Add a table widget to the report.

Step 2. Change or add a dimension called "Session Source / medium" or "First User Source / Medium".

Note: The dimension name in Google Analytics 4 has been changed, and instead of "Source medium" it's now called "Session Source / medium" or "First User Source / Medium".

Tip. If you would like to filter a specific session medium or channel grouping, use the filter feature to do so.

Default Channel Grouping (Session Default Channel Grouping or First User Default Channel Grouping)

Step 1. Add a table widget to the report.

Step 2. Change or add a dimension called "Session Default Channel Grouping" or "First User Default Channel Grouping".

Note: The dimension name in Google Analytics 4 has been changed, and instead of just "Default Channel Grouping" it's now called "Session Default Channel Grouping" or "First User Default Channel Grouping".
