How to create a custom formula?

Learn how to monitor and compare the performance of multiple channels and campaigns

Have you ever wanted to combine multiple metrics into one formula to get a sum or ROAS? Data blending is an industry term to describe the process of combining information from multiple sources to get a deeper understanding of data and improve the decision-making processes. Below, you can see a guide on how to use our custom formulas in your reports.

Step 1. Click on any widget, and next to the metric you are using, there will be three dots that you can hover over and click on "Apply custom formula":

Step 2. Once you make that selection, a custom formula builder interface pops up where you can choose your operators, other or same channel sources, and metrics:

Note: Here, you have full control of what channels or metrics you want to use. You can multiply or divide metrics and put them into brackets for more complex equations. Don't forget to name it at the top, specify the value type, and outline positive or negative increases.

โ€‹Step 3. If you want to use the same formula for future reports, click on the "Save as template" button next to the "Apply to widget". The saved formula template will appear in the Templates section:
