The New Row-Based Visualization
The most significant visual update is the adoption of a row approach for displaying fields:
Existing Source Groups: All of your previously created Source Groups have been automatically migrated to the new UI. No action is required on your part.
Unified View: Dimensions and metrics shared across multiple selected integrations (channels/sources) are now visualized on a single row. This layout makes it easy to immediately identify which fields are matched across all channels in the group.
Specific Fields: If a metric or dimension is only available for some channels, it will be clearly indicated in the row (e.g., an 'Engagement' metric available for Facebook Ads but not Microsoft Ads). The unified name is displayed alongside the source-specific names (e.g., Facebook, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads).
Managing Metrics and Dimensions
Adding and organizing your data fields is now done directly within the group configuration:
Adding Organized/Custom Fields: On the left-hand side, you can add fields that have been previously created within the Organize section. These are your unified fields that apply across various channels.
Adding Source-Specific Fields: Click Add Fields to select metrics or dimensions specific to a single channel. By selecting from the Default section, you can add data fields that will only be available for one channel (e.g., a specific Facebook Ads dimension) and not the others in your group.
Editing and Creating Source Groups
The process for creating and editing groups has been streamlined:
Editing Channels and Sources: To edit the channels or data sources within a group, simply click into the channel data field. From here, you can add or remove sources, add or remove entire channels, and preview the data.
Creating from Template: When creating a new Source Group, you now have the option to Start from Template. This gives you a head start with a predefined set of channels and fields. You can easily remove the channels you don't need (e.g., removing TikTok Ads from a general Ad Group template) and add the specific channels you use.
We are continually building on this functionality and hope the new Source Group UI makes your data management workflow more efficient. If you have any feedback, please let us know!
