Connecting Your Slack Workspace to Whatagraph

Receive Goal and Alert updates inside your Slack workspace

Updated this week

If your Slack workspace does not appear as connected, administrator approval is likely required before new apps can be added. To request access and complete the integration, follow the steps below:

Getting administrator approval

  1. Open the authorisation link: HERE

  2. Include a message for your Slack administrator and submit the request for approval.

  3. Once approved, you will receive a confirmation message from Slackbot.

  4. Return to the Alerts section within your Overview tab in Whatagraph.

  5. Click Connect Workspace again and authorise the connection.

  6. Click Save at the bottom of the drawer.

After the successful authorisation, the integration will be complete.

Using Whatagraph Within Your Slack Workspace

After connecting Whatagraph to Slack, you can start receiving alerts in your chosen channels. Here’s how to set it up:

  1. Create or select an existing Slack channel where you would like to receive alerts.

  2. Add the Whatagraph app to the channel by:

    1. Clicking Add apps in the channel settings, or

    2. Using the command: /invite @whatagraph

  3. The app will begin sending alerts according to the notification frequency you’ve configured.

  4. You can interact with these alerts just like any other Slack message: forward, comment, or engage as needed.
