Activity is the notification center for IQ Agents. It gathers everything your agents need from you or want to tell you, such as approvals, questions, alerts, and scheduled-run updates, so you can act in one place instead of hunting through conversations.
Note: Activity is part of IQ Agents. Only managers and admins can open it, and it only collects notifications for teams on a plan that includes IQ Agents.
How to open Activity
Activity sits in the left side navigation and is reachable from anywhere in the app.
Step 1. In the left side navigation, click Activity. A badge shows how many unread notifications you have.
Step 2. To check in without leaving your page, hover over Activity. A preview lists your latest unread notifications, and clicking one opens the corresponding conversation.
What's in your feed
Your feed is the running record of what your agents have done and still need from you.
Use the "Unread" tab (the default) to see only what you haven't dealt with, or the "All" tab to see everything.
On the "All" tab, you can click "Load more" to bring in older notifications. Notifications are grouped by date, newest first. New ones that arrive while you're reading wait behind a divider at the top, so the list doesn't jump. Click on the notification to see further details.
Note: You can also ask the agent to send you a notification, for example, a reminder in a few hours. It doesn't need to be based specifically on when the agent finished the scheduled run, when it needs approval, or when a question needs to be answered.
Acting on a notification
What happens when you open a notification depends on its type.
Step 1. Click a notification to open what it's about. An approval opens a review window, a question or scheduled run opens its conversation.
Step 2. For approval, approve to let the run continue or deny to stop it. You can also always allow an action so the agent stops asking.
Step 3. Open a notification's "More actions" menu to mark it read, unread, review&approve, deny, or to view the conversation.
Step 4. Click "Mark all read" at the top right to clear everything at once.
Important: Only the person who started a run can approve its requests. Anyone who can see the request can deny it.
Choosing how you're notified
Activity in the app is always on and holds the full record. You can also have notifications delivered to Slack or your desktop from the "Channels" tab.
First, on the Activity page, open the "Channels" tab.
To get notifications in Slack:
Step 1. Next to Slack, click "Connect Whatagraph IQ to Slack" to connect your team's workspace. This is a one-time setup for the team.
Step 2. Click "Send to my Slack DM" to link your own account. Notifications then arrive as a direct message.
Step 3. Use the toggle to turn Slack delivery on or off, and "Send test" to check it.
To get notifications on your desktop:
Step 1. Next to Desktop, turn on the toggle and allow notifications when your browser asks. These reach you while Whatagraph is open in a background tab.
Step 2. Use "Send test" to check it.
Note: If Desktop shows as blocked, allow notifications for Whatagraph in your browser's site settings, then reload the page.
