Our integration with StackAdapt allows you to pull in your campaign and performance data directly into our platform, making reporting and optimization more efficient. But if you're having trouble connecting your StackAdapt account, there's a common issue to watch out for: how the API token is generated.
The Role of the GraphQL Token
To connect to StackAdapt, you need a GraphQL token. This token is generated by StackAdapt’s team and is used to authenticate API access to your advertiser data.
The important thing to know is that a token can be generated with access to multiple advertisers.
However, StackAdapt API does not currently support filtering data by advertiser ID. This means if your token gives access to more than one advertiser, we won't be able to isolate which data to pull—which causes the the source connection issues.
How to Resolve Connection Issues
To ensure the integration works correctly, the GraphQL token must be scoped to only one advertiser—specifically, the one you want to connect. When requesting the token from StackAdapt, be sure to specify that it should be limited to a single advertiser account.
If you've already received a token and you're not sure if it's scoped correctly, you may need to go back to StackAdapt’s team and request a new one with the correct access level.
