We've finally added a highly requested feature. From now on, you will be able to move reports from one folder to another without having to use the previous method. (by saving your report as a team template and then recreating it inside the folder of your choice)

So what problems is this feature solving?

  • You will have the ability to move already created reports from the Home Screen and between the folders(one at a time). Which will allow you to better organize your reports in the folders or any other type of sorting that you might need;

  • You can duplicate reports to keep the format and use it for multiple clients, by assigning different sources to the duplicates;

Here are the main things you would have to know about this feature:

  • You can now move a report to a folder of your choice. This applies to both new and already created reports. Furthermore, you can create new folders on your journey;

  • You can move a report to only one folder at a time;

  • The feature is available on under the thumbnail menu on the right side of each existing report, but also on the "Actions" menu from within the report;

  • You can either assign the report sources to the new destination folder or convert all connected sources to sample data and after that add any new sources to that report. (this is usually done when you're duplicating a report for other clients, and want to use different sources).

However, keep this in mind:

  • You will not be able to move a report if another user has the same report open (''Move to folder'' will show inactive under "Actions" with a tooltip);

  • You will not be able to move a report if a user has the report open and another user tries to move it by clicking on the report thumbnail menu (''Move to folder'' will show inactive under the thumbnail menu with a tooltip);

  • Automated reports cannot be moved;

  • User Permissions: Admin and Manager roles will be available to move any report to any folder. Editors will be able to move reports only to the folders to that they have access. (And between them).
