Have you ever wondered if you could automatically send your reports to your clients? You can do that using Whatagraph. To begin, you will need to automate a report. Here's how to do that.

Step 1: Create or choose a report from your already made ones that you would like to automatically send to your client and click on the "Actions" button at the top right corner. Then, you will be able to select an option to automate your report.

Note: Please make sure to check your chosen date range. It's not possible to automate reports that have a custom date range.

Step 2: Once you click on the "Automate report" button, you will see a window with two steps. The first step allows you to select sending frequency, delivery day, time, time zone, and if you would like to review the report before sending it or not.

Step 3: Once you select all of the settings and click on the "Continue" button, you will be forwarded to another window where you will need to enter your client's email. After that, you can click on "Automate report".

Note: If you select "I'll review before sending", the automated report will not be sent until it's reviewed by you.

Now, after you automated your report, you can track the cycle by checking the status of your report. When you automate your report on Whatagraph, it essentially passes 3 stages: data gathering, review, and ready for sending, which is reflected on your report's status. You can find it in the automated reports status section here:

Data Gathering stage: When the report is in the data-gathering stage, you can still edit the stats and automation settings when you click on the three dots on the right side next to the "Show history" button.

Review stage: When the report is in the review status, you can approve it for delivery by selecting "Review / open" in the menu by clicking on the three dots. You will also receive a reminder in your email.

If you click on "Review / open" it will take you to the report where the widgets can still be edited. Once you are done, you can click on the "Done review".

Ready for Sending stage: After that, you should be taken back to your folder, where the report status should be changed to "Ready".

After the report is sent, it enters the "automation cycle" once again, starting at the data-gathering stage. You can also check your automated report history by clicking on the "Show history" button on the left side.
